When cultures meet, they change us and the world around us.
ASSO S.L.A.V.É. is an intellectual laboratory where people from all walks of life work together on creative, educational and sustainable projects.
The association's main work is building projects that combine science, entrepreneurship, culture, art, sustainable development and technology. It pays particular attention to cinema, digital media and artificial intelligence, and to traditional art forms, which it uses as tools for intercultural exchange and responsible development.

The association was founded in 2007 at Université Bordeaux Montaigne by students and professors passionate about cultural dialogue with Eastern Europe, former USSR countries, and the Slavic world.
From the start, the association organized many cultural and scientific events, led by professionals from business, academia and the arts. One of its best-known projects was In Ciné Veritas, an international short film competition.
Over time it grew and became more structured, adding teaching workshops in communication, management, entrepreneurship, art, the creative industries and marketing. It also offers interpreting and written translation, in keeping with its academic origins.
This work draws on action research and design thinking. It extends into creative projects, tourism routes in France and Europe, and the promotion of local areas and their businesses, whatever their size.
The association also works for inclusion and respect for human dignity. Its projects open up culture, education and creative work to many different audiences, and encourage people to take part, act independently and express themselves, which it sees as the basis of responsible, sustainable development.
Today the association reaches well beyond its original scope. It works across disciplines, generations and cultures, locally and at European level.
It has stayed true to its academic roots and to its belief that education, culture and art are tools for change.
Five fields through which the association brings cultures together.
Educational workshops and academic projects in management, entrepreneurship, applied linguistics, AI and the creative industries.
Translation, interpretation and intercultural mediation that bring people, institutions and cultures together.
Cinema, digital media and audiovisual creation, with a special focus on film and new technologies.
Cultural and tourism routes to meet the people and places that shape France’s regions.
Mobility, inclusion and exchange, so that people and communities from different backgrounds meet and share experiences.
Our two main projects: one about culture and education, one about solidarity.

An intercultural and educational journey across France. Students design routes, make short documentary films and tell the stories of the people who shape each region.
